Many travelers to Russia devote their first visit to the wealth of treasuries to be found in Moscow, capital of Russian Federation. Moscow character and charm – a peculiar unique atmosphere of a busy crowded city, is a city with its own complicated life, but looking cozy and poetic.
For many centuries Moscow has been the vibrant heart and the holy of holies in the Russian state. It was about 850 year ago that Yuri Dolgoruky founded a little town which was destined through the centuries to become the capital city of great Russia. Moscow was indeed built to last for centuries, and in different styles - in some places it is made from white stone, in others – from red bricks; some areas are brightly painted, others seen to be dressed in finery, and yet other have a fairy tale quality.
The Kremlin, Red Square, splendid palaces and golden-domed cathedrals as well as the treasures of the museums and unique collections of masterpieces of Russian and world culture have become the symbols of Moscow, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Our guests will see Moscow State University, where 25,000 students are enrolled, marvel at the famous Bolshoi theatre and the Tretyakov Art Gallery, amazing Moscow Metro, where each station is a living museum of marble statuary, mosaics and crystal chandeliers, walk along Arbat, a pedestrian-only street lined with souvenir and other interesting shops.
